Bought this to add to my Magic Square Dinobots collection. While I was a bit disappointed in the last 3 Dinobots, I'm quite surprised at how good Swoop is. He is definitely the best one so far. It is as if Magic Square has learned from their previous mistakes. Tolerance is so much better now. He feels really good in the hand. Like with most Magic Square releases, priority is given to bot mode and this is where it shines. By far, the best looking and most accuate Swoop in robot mode out there, far better than Newage. It is so clean looking with great proportions. Material is the same as previous Dinobots, which is to say it's pretty good. Articulation is amazing and you can pose to your heart content. Transformation is typical of Magic Square, meaning, open everything up and then reassemble into a new mode. It's not that hard or frustrating. Alt mode suffers a bit with gappage in the back. However, it is not the worst by any means. Love the articulation on the neck of the pterodactyl. I love that he can stand on his two feet with moderate articulation in alt mode. My main complaints is the gappage in alt mode and the faux beak in bot mode. I know the faux beak was designed to increase articulation and while it does work, it makes for an ugly bot mode when the waist is moved and the beak no longer aligns. Other than that, if you want the most toon accurate Swoop and you pose him in bot mode most of the time, then this is a no brainer. I have both Newage's and Magic Square's because I like to pose one in alt mode and one in bot mode. They are expensive and you will be happy with either, but if you can afford both, then get both. Totally recommend it.

This is probably the best Swoop interpretation out there. Truly a G1 cartoon accurate “masterpiece.” I loved NA version, buy I like this one better. Fake chest, but you gain the amazing waist swivel. If MS makes this Dino on Masterpiece scale, I will buy it without a second thought. Highly recommended!
