The two robot figures transform into race cars, in homage to G1 Dragship & Dead End (member of the Stunticons), these two sets should transform into the arms of the combiner( in homage to G1 Menasor).

This is a 2 in 1 set including both of the two figures.

As others stated, Dead End is easily the biggest pain of this set. I thought it was likely just hyperbole, people all dumping on him because he's a pretty simplistic figure. Yeah, no. It's true... There's nothing wrong with him physically in any way on my copy, but trying to transform him is just a horrifying pain in the ass. And then I get him almost completed and the second I try tabbing his roof section together the back side of the car splits. And tabbing the back end back together untabs the freaking roof again. I managed to squeeze the entire thing together, but it's one accidental grabbing him in the wrong area away from separating again. Thankfully with MM on his way I won't have to worry about his roof not tabbing in any longer because he'll be split in half as an arm anyway. And Dragstrip... You're not out of this conversation either. That freaking engine block was a freaking NIGHTMARE to get tabbed into the leg pieces. I initially thought it was related to what appeared to be paint in the leg piece's slots, but nope. I don't know if they put too much paint on the piece or what, but it took an ungodly amount of force to get it together. Again, not going to be a problem for much longer, but yeah. That's not to say they're bad. They're definitely a product of their time though. I guarantee the NewAge version will be far better painted, articulated, and far better presentation. But you're looking at easily $100 for that set compared to $40 for this set.

I'd like to get the bad out of the way first, Dead End is the weak link of this set. The two pack of the legs (Breakdown and Wild Rider) were pretty even in how they transform and look aesthetically. While Drag Strip might not have ankle tilt Dead End has loose ankles, a simple but still feels too involved transformation in the lower legs, and has hands that stick out when in his combiner mode. Also his legs connect to the crotch area at a very low point giving you triangular empty spaces right below the waist. That may sound like a lot, but it's just really minor complaints. I feel if I didn't disclose them I'd be doing a review a disservice. That said, the cars are perfect. The silver paint in Dead Ends lights really make it look like they are turned on sometimes. Drag Strip is also painted with silver and it works just as well. Besides the gaps in the figure Dead End is a very good looking figure, but Drag Strip is just so well done it's no contest. For being older molds the figures are still very accurate and the transformation is fun even though it's very simple. I'm very glad to add this set to my collection.
