I'm not normally a fan of the live action Transformers. But the Mad Max meets Doom vibe of the RotB Terrorcons is very much my jam. Hook it straight into my veins. Though not enough for me to shell out £56 for the official figure. Sorry lads. So when I saw this KO at a price I could afford, I was ready to don the war paint and start demanding the neighbours deliver the transwarp key and their oil. As far as being a KO goes, it's hard to tell. The hand feel is great. He's very solid and all the joints move appropriately. Though the hips can be a little stiff. At my age, that's something I can relate to. He also has nice sturdy solid feet, though his spindly creepy legs are a little wobbly and unstable. But whomst amongst us isn't in current year? Just like the official figure, his silly head is prone to pop off. That's why I replaced mine with Legacy Skullgrins head and slathered it in UV paint. Now he *really* look evil. Transformation is as smooth as it gets for live action figures and the spindly horror collapses down into a rather tasty post-apocalyptic nightmare truck. He looks like a threat. He looks like he is ready to mow down anyone and anything that gets in his way. The roads are not safe with this bad lad about. He's like a stunticon gone wrong-er, with what little restraint those maniacs had, siphoned away and used for grease. Which is to say , he rolls rather nicely and looks very cool. I'll be further customising my figure into an OC, hence the skull head. But regardless of if you're into the movies or not, this is a neat figure for the money. He's a solid 7/10 and gets a recommend from me.

I'm not normally into the Bayverse designs. But I have to admit that I thought the Transformers meets Mad Max vibe of the RotB Terrorcons was pretty neat. But my limited budget is focused on G1, Beastwars, and the other cartoon based lines. So, when I saw this low cost 4th party version RotB Scourge, I thought I'd give it a wee punt. Delivery took 12 days and the item arrived very well packaged and in excellent condition. The actual toy itself is very high quality. In fact, if I didn't know it was 4P, I would not be able to guess. The hand feel is nice as solid, and the plastic feels good. While the sculpt detail is excellent and the paint apps are neatly applied and mimic the placement of the official version. One notable difference is the metal feet which give the figure a nice heft in the hand, and stability when posing. Joints are fluid, with the appropriate level of friction for the part. Transformation is as smooth as the official version and everything tabs together nicely revealing a great vehicle mode. The wheels are pinned and the truck rolls like a dream. This might be the best rolling 4P or official Transformer alt mode outside of the spychangers/gobots. He went a full 3 meters from a moderate push on the laminate flooring of my hall. Only the wall stopped his relentless roll into conquest! When I was a kid, 4P Transformers were an awful mess of thin plastic and jangly joints. The fact that 4P manufacturers can now get this quality for this price is astounding. This version of RotB Scourge is a cost effective way to get a high quality proxy of the figure. Regardless of if you're a Bayverse collector or not, this is an excellent transformers, especially for the price, and worth picking up for your collection.
