Let me just get this out of the way first so if you don't want to read the rest of my review, then you know the gist of it. This is for a very specific group of collectors. If you are a Legends scale collector, want the best looking Predaking on the market, only care about combined mode and will never transform them back to their individual bot or alt mode, and have money to spend, then this Predaking is for you. Otherwise, I'd say save your money and wait for an alternative. Okay let's start the review. I bought this because of FOMO. I was already invested in 2 figures of the other Legends scale Predaking that I thought was a pretty good representation of the Predacons. Each were under $30, making the whole set under $200, which is typical of Legends scale combiners. Then the reviews came out for this AMT and he looks so good in combined mode, I said I have to have it, even at the cost of $380!!! Opening him up, the first thing you will notice is the paint on him. It is spectacular, the best I've seen in any Hasbro/Takara figure. I know the other AMT Hot Rod has great paint as well but I don't own him. Upon holding each figures in hand, they feel hefty and have great plastic quality. So far so good. Upon closer inspection, their alt mode is TRASH!!! They barely resemble the animal they represent and their articulation is from the G1 era. (Mind you, going in, I already knew this. I bought it specifically for the combined mode.) They are as bad as some of the badly designed Hasbro figures! If I paid a premium for this set, I'd expect more. Transforming them into their robot mode is super easy. That is because there is not much to transform. Bot mode is a little better than the alt mode, but still not good. The figures range from serviceable to okay. Again, this is a premium product. Their articulation are a little better than G1 figures, and you know those G1 figures are bricks. Terrible, just terrible. The only saving grace for this whole set is the combined mode, but at the price you paid, I'm not sure it's worth it. Transformation is super easy, combined mode fits very well, and the only part forming are the feet and the fists. Predaking looks great and is probably one of the best if not THE best looking combiner out there in Legends scale. His legs and arms barely look like they are part of Predaking and not of other robots. His articulation is very good for a combiner. My only issue I have with him is his weak ankle. He cannot lean back or he will fall. Standing him up straight, he leans slightly forward, with the feet holding him up from fall forward. So do I recommend him, only if you meet the conditions I set in the beginning. This feels like the designers set their priority on making the best looking Predaking while sacrificing everything else. The individual bot and alt mode were just an afterthought and it's there just to be there to meet the requirement of being a "transform"-er. Do I regret buying him, just a little. If he was priced around $300, then I have no complaint or regret. I think that is a fair price. $325, sure, if Predaking is your favorite combiner. Anything more than that, I'd say pass. Combined mode 5/5. Alt mode 1/5. Bot mode 2/5.

Box was packed a bit tight since the box was smaller than the product that was heavily wrapped in bubble tape. This tightness caused damage to the box, which unfortunately means I can display it. The product was in perfect condition and I love it however. I'd recommend to use a bigger box if the bubble wrap with product is bigger than what the box can contain.
