It's very great for the little size

A really fun and surprisingly simple figure, once you did it once or twice.

I LOOOOVE it! Something about this character has so much charm and once I saw there was a transformable Bayverse Frenzy boombox, I knew I had to have it. I couldn't ever find the older version and began to think I had inagined it when the Dr. Wu rendition came to my attention as a presale and I thought I had mistaken it for one that was already released, but then I did see the older one again after getting my Dr. Wu version and the robot mode on this is FAR superior! It made me glad I hadn't found one of the others for sale. The details are amazing on such a small figure, but they really captured his essence. The transformation is actually pretty intuitive once you start fiddling with it and seeing how it comes together. I watched one video rather than using the directions, but once I got started I was able to figure out most of it on my own just by lining up the obvious tabbing points. Making sure to get those in place and pushed securely in is the key to a tight alt mode. Robot mode is very posable, with his hand claws able to grasp his little throwing stars or the disc that is actually ejectable from his chest. Some brilliant person found that the shiruken also will tab onto a peg by his elbows for storage in this form too. He balances well even with the bits of boombox as backpack and shoulder pads, and the head and neck are so articulated that it mimics exactly the movements the character makes that are so quirky and cute- Even his eyes move independently! The antenna in alt mode can he positioned as well. It's pretty incredible how well they rendered this thing, and for the pricing here it can't be beat. I immediately ordered a second one! (Great excuse to get both colors for those who are torn between versions, but I think the original is perfect and got the same one again. ) The only problem I ran into was the shoulder joint popping off a couple of times on one side, due to multiple ways it can bend and not getting one direction sorted first on a double hinge, but it popped right back on again and I am pleased as punch. He is easily one one of my top favorite figures of all time. Get it. You won't regret it. This is a really good representation of this character. Thank you, Dr. Wu!

Great figure. Great detail. Really throws you into nostalgia mode. My only complaint is the instructions show how to get into Robot mode and it was already in robot. Fortunately for me, I did some reverse engineering and got it done.
