Bought this to finish up Magic Square Dinobots. I also have Newage's, but my complaint has always been that his legs were ginormous. There has to be a way to make it thinner and more toon accurate. Magic Square has done exactly that with their Snarl. They've made the most toon accurate Snarl in bot mode. I have no complaint whatsoever. Articulation is what you would expect from Magic Square, which is to say, crazy good. There isn't a lot of paint. The material is like their other Dinobots, which is to say pretty good and feels great in hand. Now comes the bad. Transformation is very frustrating, lots of panels, which is typical of Magic Square. I didn't have any issues with the previous 4, but this one got me a little frustrated. It got better after subsequent transformation, but it is not fun. Also, there are so many panels that they don't tab in tightly, causing some slight gappage. While the alt mode looks pretty good, it's nowhere near what Newage has to offer. The good thing is that tolerance has been resolved with their Swoop and this, unlike their previous three. For the most part, it feels like Magic Square starts their figure in bot mode and ends in alt mode, while Newage does the opposite. So do I recommend him, definitely if you are already deep in Magic Square Dinobots. Do I recommend this over Newage, only if you display him in bot mode and you like toon accuracy. If you have the money, then I'd recommend buying both so you can display one in alt mode and one in bot mode.
