Definitely has the materials and paint of a Fans Toys figure, but the tolerancing and general fit and finish left a bit to be desired. More than a few joints and transformation hinges needed tightening up to bring to a higher standard, and if there weren't so many things I felt the need to fix I'd probably rate this higher. Still though, 80% of the quality for less than 40% of the price is a pretty unbeatable offer, especially since something only 80% as good as the original is still head and shoulders above any other Soundwave on the market.

Being a 4th party figure means you are going to have some QC issues and this one was no exception. I had to fix loose joints on a couple of points. However other than that, this figure rocks. It looks amazing and poses very well. Outstanding value for the cost. 3 cassettes plus the figure is an absolute deal. Just know you’ll probably have to fix something to make it perfect.

came with everything. Wish it also came with Buzzsaw and Rumble (blue one) like Takara's did, even accoustic wave came with rumble but not a big deal. Looks great, but I did have an issue with the legs/hips area like most if not all others have had. screwdriver and 2 minutes of my time fixed it though and was super easy fix. Over all well worth it.

Decent looking figure, much cheaper than the original. Very weighty, there's a lot of metal in this guy!
There are a few quality issues: Gold paint on his chest rubs off way too easily. Poor ravage had his hind paws on upside down but was an easy fix. Rumble/Frenzy's guns don't tab into his back or store in his legs and most of his joints were loose.
Tapes are a tight fit in the chest. Ravage doesnt fit at all.

The package unfortunately arrived damaged, and took way longer than usual to deliver, but the figure and accessories remained intact. The figure, however, came with its legs assembled backwards, but was fixed thanks to the guides available. The overall aesthetics and pose-ability are top notch and on par with the official MP-13 Soundwave figure, if not better. Transformation was easy to follow, and the cassettes bundled were a great addition to this figure. I would love it if we got a two-pack of Buzzsaw and Frenzy to complete this Acoustic Wave and his cassette family. Great figure, would recommend.

Just opened the box after waiting a really long time for delivery. Upon unboxing a few things were glaringly obvious to me; 1. The figures legs arrived Misassembled, they are backwards and on the wrong sides. And 2. His right thumb was missing.
Other than that the packaging was very well done, and it feels like a solid figure, even the cassettes are great.

3rd time ordering from them thinking things would change. Packing materials leave a lot to be desired coming all the way from China to East Coast United States. Figure came with missing items, reached out to customer service for replacement parts and received a response within a few days asking for pictures. Fairly happy with it, although he is missing his left thumb. While Ravage is transforming the hip sockets are loose and pops out too easily. In the instructions it also says I can store frenzies weapons inside him in tape mode... I couldn't get this to work.

it feels quite great and for a great price, but it did have some flaws like nubs on certain parts, one of soundwaves thumbs was missing its pin, and the most noticeable was ravages back feet were on backwards but it was an easy fix, rumble being unable to stand, still tough for the price I got it at it was perfectly fine and is still one of the best figures I have ever had.

He looks great in all his glory,but unfortunately a piece on his forearm keeps falling off (fixed it with a bit of blutac) and his rear keeps falling down when showing the correct design ( so I don't change it from his robot mode and alt mode)

It was mostly perfect but a few issues showed up. Frenzy was very loose especially his guns on his back. He also had extra plastic on the side hurting the movement of his arm. Ravage also has a few loose components. Last issue was that he is missing a pin on his thumb.

Very good bang for your buck! Only a handful of QC issues, such as a loose panel or having to add some shock oil to loosen the thigh swivel, but overall a solid toy. I look forward to shopping with TFSAFARI again in the future!

Missing pins on the fingers. The legs are assembled backwards and makes the transformation impossible. Some joints are super loose while others are so tight it feels like it will snap with the slightest movement.

Super fast shipping and it looks great but the right thum was missing a pin and half the joints are too tight and the rest are so loose it can barely stand up.

A few problems out of the box that had to be fixed. The figure's legs were mis-assembled and were put on backwards. The thumb on one hand was missing a pin to keep it on and Ravage's back feet were put on upside down. I cut and made a new pin to fix the thumb and corrected the legs and feet, only took 30 minutes or so. After those corrections, the figure is pretty great and feels awesome. The fixes that had to be made were in my opinion worth the reduced cost.

This thing is a work of art, the transformation is so simple yet it is so satisfying. The feeling of changing this guy into a sturdy, brick from a sleek and awesome robot mode is black magic. The only issue is the quality control, mu figures ab crunch is pretty loose and the waist has a bit to be desired. Other than that rumble's joints are god awful and I resort to balancing him off his hands, although, this was a problem with the original figure. Overall if you love soundwave like me you won't give a shit about this relatively minor qc issues. Get it, don't hesitate he is worth that pretty low price point

Amazing piece for this low price! The materials are fantastic. Lots of diecast and sturdy metal ratchets. Articulation is great. The cassettes also have diecast construction, and are the best versions we've had yet for these characters. I love the extra accessories to get a more toy-style look as well. My SW has one knee joint that is a little bit weaker, but not bad. Rumble ;) is a bit loose, and his guns fall out easy. Laserbeak and Ravage are perfect. This is a really great deal.

Absolutely wonderful figures. "Acoustic Wave" is by far the best of the bunch, but I did have 2 issues. First, and this has been a very common issue, his waist is assembled backwards. Second, his left elbow joint was rather loose. Both were easy to fix though. As for the cassettes, each had issues. "Shadow" (not-Ravage) had the worst though. First transformation, and one of the hip missiles broke the plastic around the pin. Was salvageable, but disappointing.
