I was expecting just the upgrade kit, not the kit and figure. I was pleasantly surprised by it! It came in great shape and everything works great! The paint is great and it attached to my ko Nemesis very well and looks the best on him.

BAIWEI TW-1103 Elder Explorer arrived quickly as described. Order was thoroughly packaged as well. I picked the boxed version of BAIWEI TW-1103 Elder Explorer. The box artwork is nice. Inside the box you get the clamshell with all TW-1103 parts you need to assemble as well as the DNA Design upgrade parts. Instructions are included as well but they are vague. I highly recommend you follow Super Robot Reviews' great tutorial on YouTube on how to assemble BAIWEI TW-1103. Super Robot Reviews will help you assemble BAIWEI TW-1103 plus show how to transform and build Jetpower mode. From the clamshell BAIWEI TW-1103 parts are well designed and the plastic feels great quality. Takara did a good job designing the mold and BAIWEI improved it with nice die-cast metal and more premium paint work. My compliments to DNA Design for their engineering. The included DNA Design upgrade parts are well made too. - Building BAIWEI TW-1103 Assembling BAIWEI TW-1103 Elder Explorer isn't too difficult. All the parts click into place securely and fit as they should. With a bit of patience all the tabs lock together well however the section underneath the jet with robot arms are hard to peg tight. I also have a small defect on one of the black cable pieces that becomes the belt in Jetpower combined mode. The two cable pieces are supposed to clip together and plug into TW1022EX's waist however oneside of the cable piece doesn't have enough peg for the two cable sections to clip together. - Jet mode The fully assembled Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird jet mode looks incredible. The accents of red paint are well done and the nosecone section is painted very well. The dark metallic sliver colors underneath the jet mode help to blend the robot bits. Caution should be used when handling the nosecone jet parts as the pegs can be easily broken. After assembling the stock configuration of BAIWEI TW-1103 Elder Explorer you have the option of adding some of the DNA Design parts to the jet mode too. The DNA Design parts plug in well to jet mode. - Transforming to robot mode BAIWEI TW-1103 transformers well with nice ratchets and great plastic quality. I like the addition of die-cast metal by BAIWEI. All the parts function as they should during transformation. *Caution should be used when transforming the nosecone which requires folding that section. I would recommend taking the nosecone section off the jet and then fold it. This will ensure you don't snap the pegs off the nosecone section. Definitely use minimal force when handling the nosecone. - Robot mode Back in 2009 I was not a big fan of Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire however BAIWEI TW-1103 does look great in robot mode. BAIWEI TW-1103 is a great rendition of Jetfire as he appeared in Revenge of the Fallen. The accents of dark metallic silver do give a photo realistic quality to BAIWEI TW-1103. Head sculpt looks great with small touches of red for the eyes. The ratchets are good and TW-1103 stands and articulates well. The landing gear is still a bit too short to serve as a cane but you can still get that pose by hunching the figure far over and pushing the legs all the way down. The ax weapon looks great and plugs in to the hands perfectly. BAIWEI TW-1103 is a great representation of Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire. I enjoyed this TW-1103 robot mode so much I am tempted to get a second copy just to have for robot mode. - Jetpower combined mode The combined mode isn't hard to assemble although it is a lot of steps. A bit of patience is needed when assembling the Jetpower mode as some pieces will pop off. *Caution should be used when splitting TW-1103's torso as this section is notorious for breaking on the Studio Series 35 Jetfire. I am not sure if BAIWEI improved the original design for the spine section however it clips and unclips smoothly with TW-1103. Definitely use minimal force when handling the spine section. All the jet pieces plug together well with my TW1022EX however because of the defect on the cable belt piece it takes more effort for me to plug that into the waist. The DNA Design additional parts do look more screen accurate as well. Combined mode has a nice photo realistic look of how Jetpower Optimus Prime looked at the end of 2009 Transformers Revenge of The Fallen. BAIWEI TW-1103 combined with TW1022EX looks amazing and I think it's a nice representation of the most powerful version of Optimus Prime from the Bay Transformers movie trilogy. A lot of shelf presence with this BAIWEI combined mode, and I think it's perfect for a collector that wants a good size display piece that won't take too much space. Overall I am very happy with BAIWEI TW-1103 it is built well and the paint work is nice. All the parts combine well and the jet mode is great. Excellent craftsmanship and engineering by BAIWEI with their TW-1103. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the robot mode. For collectors on a budget I recommend BAIWEI TW-1103 and TW1022EX to combine with it. Thank you to everyone at TFSAFARI for all the work done for collectors around the world. Cheap ass quality

So, this is definitely the best version of TLK Megatron by far but there are definitely things to be fixed. Though the Optimus Prime figure is best in quality, this figure has good details. My main problem with it are the magnets on the head, they are not glued so the magnets tend to attach to each others and being that small you will have a hard time putting the batteries, turning the lights on or simply change postures. You can fix it with super glue but you would expect that BMB had fixed this as they did with the plastic joints on Optimus arms. The accessories are really well done but the connectors are to thick for the holes. I'll suggest you to scratch the connectors with sand paper so it gets the proper size. Other thing that I'd love to be fixes is that the knee joints are way to loose. I understand if for smoothness on the transformation to the cybertronian jet but when is in Knight form it's stressful to pose it. Having said that the sculping is just immaculate and the fact the give you two faces is always good. This surpass UT Dragoon by a lot even if it's 2 cm smaller, the transformation is rather complex and is a fun thing to do just once because the jet looks awesome but I'll keep mine and the Knight form. I would say you can avoid buying the original box on this one as get it cheaper but it's up to you.

Fantastic item and way cheaper than the mainline stuff you get more upgrades too

Jetfire by itself is one of the best items on Baiwei's catalog. Size is great, the transformation is awesome and is a must have on any collection. However there are a couple of things that made me wanna go crazy. The first being my first item was exchanged by the carrier and I ended getting a pair of shoes instead of my KO. Customer service sent me a replacement and it was delivered to a similar address but in a different nearby town and when I finally got the figure, one part of the cockpit was damaged so now I'm waiting for some spare parts. The other problem is more on the Baiwei end, the upgrade kit doesn't really attach well to Optimus, specially on the feet and the knees so the pieces will constantly fall apart if your have it or an unstable place. Hopefully, both Baiwei and TFSafari will solve this issues in the future.

Another Baiwei Home Run SS35's aftermarket prices can be perturbing at best and baffling at worst, which is why we're here. And let me tell you, if you are in the market for a Studio Series Jetfire, this is by far the best deal out there. With most KOs, the tells are markedly obvious that the toy is fake. But this is the first KO, let alone baiwei, release that I had to go looking for the differences. The plastic tolerance is phenomenal, the paint work, where applied, is opaque and durable, and this results in the finished figure being nigh-indistinguishable from the official release, and that's all without mentioning the DNA upgrade. The only critiques I have would be the possibility of loose joints and/or pegs, both of which are easily fixable issues that my copy thankfully did not possess. There is little further praise I could levy that would not devolve into reviewing the official Hasbro figure. The same could be said for the Jet-Power Optimus Prime combination, which looks as awesome as the official figure with the upgrades applied. I will warn those seeking to utilize the combination mode that Baiwei's SS32 Prime may need his joints tightened with a screwdriver, in order to accommodate the heavier gear. Overall, I cannot recommend this figure enough to the bargain-savy transformers fan.
